That is a real planning constraint, not a footnote. A passage to a Java or Sulawesi yard and back adds transit days, fuel, crew time and risk to every docking cycle. Practical rule: book the slot before you finalise the scope. You can add work to a booked slot far more easily than you can find a slot for finished planning.

Annual docking scope

A typical annual or biennial docking on a working Komodo liveaboard covers: pressure wash and hull inspection, antifoul preparation and coating, anode renewal, propeller and shaft inspection with clearance and wear measurement, cutless bearing and stern tube seal check or renewal, rudder and steering gear inspection, sea valve and skin fitting service, sea chest and strainer cleaning, and inspection of any hull penetrations for stabilisers or thrusters.
